It was a nasty surprise to realize that I had 250 orrian pearls but needed another 200 to purchase one of the god reliquary backpacks for the legendary collection. With Aurora in particular most guides stress how you need 250 of each LWS3 map material to make items you toss in the Mystic forge, but forget to mention how you need extra material to purchase certain items on the Season 3 maps for the achievements you have to complete! Guides and the wiki provide a good sum up of what you'll need BUT they aren't perfect. Take it slow and do a few steps each day.Ģ. In fact a few steps are arranged so you can't with time gates. There's a lot of steps in each of the collection achievements you need to do, and some of them require doing other collections or achievements! Always keep in mind that you do not need to do all the steps in one go. The only true unavoidable gold cost I found was the Icy Runestones.Įffort is the other major Intimidation factor. The costs, especially in gold, can look scary to more casual players but don't let that scare you! It's not like you need to pay it up front, and there's even ways around it if you know how to that can save you a lot (Mystic Clovers seemed to be a pretty big part of the estimated cost for me, then I got some chests of legendary crafting material while working on other materials). Hence it took me ten years to actually get my first legendary aside from the Prismatic Champion Regalia. Hence when I got curious about legendaries I'd open up a guide or check the wiki, see all the requirements and the gold cost, and back off. I've played since beta, admittedly as a more casual player.

I thought I'd share a few mistakes I made along the way to help others that might be working on this or other legendaries! It has been quite a journey, a bit more of one than I expected even after reading guides. After several weeks of finally knuckling down (and cashing in some gems at the very last step to buy crafting materials) I have finally completed my first legendary, Aurora!
